Spiderweb Software Celebrates 20 Years Of Indie RPG Gaming With 21st Release

Avadon 2 The Corruption

Spiderweb Software is an independent game developer based in Seattle. It’s been in operation since 1993, when it released its first game, Exile: Escape from the Pit, an old school RPG with tons of plot, dialogue, and fantasy storytelling.

Now in its twentieth year, Spiderweb continues the indie role playing game genre it’s been developing for the past two decades by releasing its twenty-first game, Avadon 2: The Corruption.

Spiderweb develops games the old-fashioned way, using graph paper and pencil to map out their game levels. The company is still run out of the owners’ home, and they continue to focus on deep, involved fantasy stories.

The company continues to develop all its games for Mac as well as windows, expanding to mobile devices a couple of years back with Avadon: The Black Fortress. This fall, Spiderweb Software will release their latest game, Avadon 2: The Corruption, to Mac, iPad, and PC.

Avadon 2: The Corruption will be another epic fantasy role-playing game with five different character classes, each with many spells and abilities. There will be more history and lands to explore within the fantasy realm of Avadon, and several different endings to get to, not to mention dozens of side quests, dungeons, and hidden secrets.
