Hulu has unveiled a brand new Hulu Plus app for that’s been completely redesigned to focus on “discoverability, efficiency, and our overall user experience.” The company hopes that the change will make it easier for users to find their favorite shows and discover new ones.

“There is such a wealth of great content out there, an embarrassment of riches in this golden age of television – and we know how overwhelming all of these choices can feel,” Hulu says on its blog. “So we’ve really focused on developing several new ways to make your favorite shows, and your favorite new shows you never even knew existed, easier to find.”

In the new Hulu Plus app for iPad, when you see an image for a show or movie you’re unfamiliar with, just tap it to view the new discover panel. You’ll then be presented with the first episode, the next episode, or the latest episode — depending on your viewing history for that title.

You’ll also see a summary and “some info” for each episode to help you decide whether or not you wish to watch it. If you’d like to continue browsing, simply swipe in either direction to continue looking through collections and seasons.

You can even start looking for things to watch next while you’re in the middle of watching something else. Simply touch the video and pinch to minimize it — it will continue playing in a window — and you can go ahead and look for something else.

There are also a ton of other new features in the new Hulu Plus app for iPad, so check out the Hulu blog to find out more. You can download the new iPad app by clicking the source link below.
