Evernote’s Penultimate app for iPad has today been updated with a number of new notebook features and new sync options. It also adds the ability to sign out of your Evernote account, and two new features for Evernote Premium subscribers.

With Penultimate version 4.1, you’ll now get handy suggested notebook titles based on your location and calendar events. So if you’re in a meeting in New York and you start a new notebook for take notes, you’ll automatically get an appropriate title for it.

You’ll also notice that notebook covers displays where you were the last time you were editing the notebook.

This version also brings two new sync options: the first is “pause sync,” which allows you to delay syncing when you’re traveling or working online; and the second is the option to only sync when connected to a Wi-Fi network, which prevents you from cellular data.

You can also sign out of your Evernote account and into another one now, which is great for those who share iPads.

Evernote Premium users get two new features in this update as well, including unlimited access to paper designs in the Paper Shop, and enhanced security with a passcode lock.

You’ll find the latest version of Penultimate in the App Store now.
