Keyper, A Lovely Leather Wallet For Keeping Keys

The Keyper isn’t strictly a Mac-related gadget, or even an iOS-related one. But I’m writing it up for a few reasons anyway. One, it’s gorgeous. Two, leather confections are a favorite of our esteemed deputy editor John Brownlee. And three, it actually is pretty iPhone and iPad friendly because it’ll stop your keys from scratching up their screens if you toss the lot n a bag or pocket together.

The Keyper is a hot little stitched leather wallet for up to four keys. Each key gets its own leather tag to make it easy to pull out, and they’re all kept flat making it pocket-friendly and also jangle-free.

And of course it’ll prove tricky to scratch anything that you happen to keep in the same pocket as the sharp metal edges are all covered up.

But it’s not all good news. You won’t be able to put your keyring into your fist with the keys sticking out between your white knuckles next time you take a walk down a scary alley. Nor will you be able to select the correct key one-handed.

Worst of all is that you’ll now have five things to lose instead of just one, making every return home a stressful one. Still at least it’s not too pricey at $30. Which is precisely like $29.90 more than a cheap keyring.
