Caveat emptor: I used TuneUp a few months ago and it screwed a lot of things up. The night before I’d bought TuneUp, I downloaded the 12/12/12 album from iTunes, and it renamed every song in the album, the artists, and the album itself. I’m still running into tracks that have fully incorrect titles after two months…

TuneUp totally ruined my Library. I have in excess of 40,00 songs a lot ripped from my vinyl collection with accurate artwork. TuneUp basically replaced a lot of this artwork with irrelevant jpgs someone had uploaded to Gracenote’s CDDB, any old vinyl rips that had ever been on any compilations had their correct info replaced with the compilation info, genre’s were totally messed up as well as incorrect, I went from having 20 genres to having >60 and worst of all their undo option does not work so the damage was irreparable. If you have a music collection featuring mainly mainstream music from the 90s onwards go for it you’ll probably find its great but if your library extends beyond that or God forbid you have ripped from vinyl or tape then avoid like the plague.
