Netflix has today introduced an enhanced player interface for iPad with version 3.0 of its iOS app. The update also brings back the zoom icon so that you can quickly switch between fullscreen and widescreen viewing modes, and better placement of the player controls.

Netflix says it enhanced the player interface to provide users with a better playback experience, and the look is certainly a nice improvement. You can now see the title of the movie or TV show you’re watching across the top of the player — simply tap on the display to show the controls.

While we’re on the subject of controls, the pause and “Back-10” buttons have been moved slightly to make them easier to use, and Netflix has also brought back the zoom button so that you can quickly switch back and forth between fullscreen and widescreen viewing modes.

Netflix 3.0 is available to download from the App Store now using the source link below. The app itself is free, but you’ll need a Netflix subscription ($7.99 per month) to enjoy it.
