Twitter has updated one its Mac applications today, but no, it’s not the Twitter app. It’s TweetDeck, which now offers a number of new features, and more than 90 fixes for previous issues. The update brings the native TweetDeck client in line with TweetDeck for Google Chrome.

Some of TweetDeck’s new features include the ability to embed tweets into your blog posts or web pages, and the introduction of a new search box with the Typeahead and People Search features. Typeahead offers predictions as you type — kind of like Google search — while People Search is pretty self explanatory.

For those who like to keep their desktop clean and clutter-free while they’re working, you can now reduce the size of the app window down to just two columns as opposed to four. I’d still like the ability to show just one — like the regular Twitter app — but this is a welcome improvement.

In addition to this, Twitter promises a performance update that make displaying multiple “high-velocity columns” much more smooth and responsive. There are also another “90+ fixes + updates” that are sure to make the app more stable.

You can download the latest TweetDeck release from the Mac App Store now using the source link below.
