CultCast #45 – Will.i.won’t

On The CultCast this week

Our stories this week

  • Everything we love about Apple’s new iTunes 11.
  • Why the newly-updated Apple Remote App is better than ever.
  • A much-hyped iPhone accessory that’s either awesome or awful; we can’t tell.
  • Faves & Raves! The segment where we pitch our favorite tech and apps then vote on which one’s best.

Be careful with all that love. As usual, the software is designed for users with smaller libraries. Larger collections will run into some familiar problems, and one new one. The search function is basically useless. Try to enter a title or band name and the beachball starts spinning — for a full minute or longer — and when it finally stops? A search hit list based on THE FIRST LETTER only. Then, and only then, can you enter subsequent letters — which works except when it doesn’t. Currently on the phone with Apple. They have no clue.

Battery indicator for connected iOS devices was included in previous versions of iTunes. So was AirPlay support. I love the podcast, but clearly you guys really didn’t use iTunes previously. Perhaps you guys should have a live chat room when you record; there is nothing more painful to a podcast listener than to hear the hosts offer incorrect information.

Love my job, since I’ve been bringing in $5600… I sit at home, music playing while I work in front of my new iMac that I got now that I’m making it online(Click on menu Home)
