Belkin Announces New Bluetooth Keyboard Case For iPad Mini, Pre-Order Yours Today

I need one of these.
I need one of these.

It’s not very often I write on my iPad without a real Bluetooth keyboard. While I don’t mind the virtual, on-screen keyboard for responding to the odd email, anything more than that and I need real keys. For those of you who are in the same boat, check out Belkin’s new Portable Keyboard Case for iPad mini.

Belkin’s senior director of project management, Jamie Elgie, believes that “because the iPad mini enjoys most of the same features as a full-sized iPad, it only makes sense to offer a scaled down version of our award-winning keyboard folio for the iPad mini.” And I couldn’t agree more.

The Portable Keyboard Case offers a “laptop-style keyboard and well-spaced keys,” with dedicated shortcuts for things like volume control and media playback. When it’s not in use, you can fold it up like a traditional folio case and stick it in your bag, and its smooth inner lining will ensure you’re iPad mini’s protected against everyday wear and tear.

The Bluetooth keyboard charges via the included USB to microUSB cable, and Belkin promises that on a single charge, it will give you 155 hours of use. It’s removable, too, so you don’t have to leave it inside the case; you can move it around and place it wherever is most comfortable for you.

Interested? If so, you can pre-order the Portable Keyboard Case from Belkin’s website today. It costs $79.99, and shipping will begin sometime this month.
