If you’ve been itching to get your hands on Infinity Blade for your Android device, you’re out of luck. However, if you’re good with playing a Infinity Blade-style game, Glu Mobile just may have the answer for you. The San Francisco-based company has just released a trailer for a new game, Death Dome, that looks a whole lot like Infinity Blade with a heaping serving of Borderlands 2 thrown in for good measure. Check it out.

The quick 30-second teaser shows an armored woman with a sword and shield attacking ever larger bad guys, each with an impressive set of pectoral and bicep muscles. The familiar dodge, block, slash attack gestures seem in full effect. There’s promise of upgrading weapons, armor, and elemental magic–all familiar tropes, but fun none the less, and even more exciting on Android.

The game is coming to the Google Play store along with the iTunes App Store for iOS. The video description contains the following story, though, really, does it matter?

No one really remembers where it all started…but before long…it was everywhere. The “M” virus… Most people who showed symptoms were dead within days…but others weren’t so lucky. Mutations were showing up all over the city. The infected were quarantined in a bio-dome force field that encased the city of Palamira. Some called it a “safe zone”, but most know it as the Death Dome. The M virus grew stronger inside the Death Dome and eventually became strong enough to live on its own without a host. Strong enough to become…The Behemoths!

The only name I know is Phoenix, I have no recollection of who I was before…The one thing I do know is that they will never dismantle the dome while the behemoths are still alive so I must take them all down….myself!

No details announced yet as to price, though we assume it’ll be a freemium game, or when it will release. We’ve got an email in to Glu to find out and will share the news with you when we know it.
