Rayman is finally coming back to mobile.

Ubisoft has announced a brand new Rayman game that’s coming to Android and iOS on September 20. It’s called Rayman Jungle Run, and it looks absolutely awesome. Inspired by the treasure chest chase levels in Rayman Origins, it’s a fast-paced platformer in which you never stop running. Never.

Rayman Jungle Run employs an “auto run” mechanic similar to titles like Canabalt. What that means is, Rayman automatically runs through each and every level — all you have to do is ensure he avoids obstacles and collects every shiny Lum he can along the way by jumping and hovering.

Ubisoft promises they’ll be unlockable powers and secrets, and Game Center integration for those playing on iOS. The game runs on the UbiArt framework — the same engine that powers Rayman Origins — which means it looks fantastic. Check out Ubisoft’s first teaser trailer below.

Looks great, doesn’t it? I’m certainly looking forward to this. You’ll find it in the App Store and on Google Play later this month.
