If you’re the proud owner of a Retina MacBook Pro and you’re on the lookout for great apps that showcase its high-resolution display, don’t spend your spare time wading through the Mac App Store searching the hard way. Check out RetinaMacApps.com — a simple site that brings together all the Mac apps that are now Retina-ready.
Since Apple hasn’t offered us a separate category in the Mac App Store for Retina-ready apps, it’s not all that easy to stumble across them. RetinaMacApps aims to solve that. It presents you with a library of titles that have already been updated with super sharp visuals for your beloved new MacBook Pro.
The site’s easy to use; just scroll through the list of apps and check out the ones that catch your eye. You can filter apps by category or name, or look at the most recent additions. You can also subscribe to the “Weekly Digest” newsletter, which will bring the latest Retina-ready apps right to your inbox.
One thing you can’t do, however, is search for apps, which is a bit of a pain. But as the library continues to grow, I’m sure a search feature will appear.
