Bento 4 for iPad has been "reinvented" from the ground up.

Bento originally made its iOS debut on the iPhone 3G way back in 2009, and it has been supporting iOS devices ever since. Today the latest release, Bento 4, which promises to be the “redesigned, reinvented and revolutionary new version of the leading personal database app,” is now available on the iPad.

And it has 50% off its regular price tag for a limited time.

If you’re unfamiliar with Bento, it’s an app for creating personal databases that help you organize, document, and plan almost anything you can think of. You can use it to organize contacts and clients, track projects and deadlines, plan special events or parties, manage a to-do list, track bills and expenses, and even database your CD and DVD collection.

The latest version of Bento has been rebuilt from the ground up, and it contains a whole host of new features that “have never been seen in any iPad app before!”

Some of its new features include:

  • Powerful Drag and Drop Design Tools
  • Form view, Table view, Split view and Full Screen view
  • 40 New Themes
  • Direct Access to the Bento Template Exchange
  • Highlighted Searching
  • Multi-Field Sorting
  • Records Slider
  • Create Encrypted Fields, Simple Lists, GPS Location Fields, Calculation Fields
  • Email Library Data in .CSV format

Bento 4.0 is available to download from the App Store now for the iPad, and you’ll need iOS 5 to use it. It’s currently priced at $4.99 to celebrate its launch, but that will go up on July 31 to $9.99.
