Good news! Your iPad 2,4 can now be jailbroken with Absinthe & Rocky Racoon.

There weren’t many iOS 5.1.1 devices that the Absinthe 2.0 and Rocky Racoon jailbreaks didn’t support from day one, but one of them was the iPad 2,4 — the latest Wi-Fi iPad 2 that Apple released alongside the third-generation iPad earlier this year. Thanks to their latest updates, however, that’s all changed.

With Absinthe 2.0.4 and Rocky Racoon 1.0-3, you can add an untethered jailbreak to your new iPad 2 running iOS 5.1.1 in the same way you hacked your other iOS devices last week.

Planetbeing, a member of the Chronic Dev-Team, the group behind the Absinthe releases, has been working on the iPad 2,4 jailbreak for some time. He reached out to the jailbreaking community via Twitter in search of the device for testing, and it seems users were more than willing to lend a hand.

Now that testing has been completed, the latest Absinthe and Rocky Racoon released have been made available today.
