You Can Now Pick Up A 2011 MacBook Pro For Just $200… If You Don’t Mind Bullet Wounds [Update]

By

"There's a hole in my MacBook, dear Liza, dear Liza."

There are a long list of advantages that come with owning a Mac, but premium machines come with premium price tags. As such, we’re always on the lookout for fantastic deals on Apple’s latest releases, and we’ve found a terrific one on Craigslist. For just $200, you can pick up a late-2011 13-inch MacBook Pro with a 2.4GHz Core i5 processor and 4GB of RAM.

There’s only one caveat: You’ll have to work around six massive bullet wounds.

“If anyone knows about MacBook Pro’s then you know its a beast of a computer,” the seller writes before promoting its abilities for business, movie editing, and “Djin.” He then goes on to explain why he’s selling the machine so cheap:

Speaking of Djin, I was spinning at my home nightclub and a fight brokeout and they started shooting. I hit the deck and when I came up my macbook pro got the worst of it. It was hit 6 times in the melee. So thats why I’m selling for a mere $200 (negotiable).

He’s so desperate to get rid of the machine that he’s willing to trade it for a laptop from Dell or HP.

I’m not really sure what you’d do with this machine. It goes without saying that the display is ruined, along with the majority of its internal components — including the most important one, the logic board. You could possibly salvage some of the keys from the right-hand side of the keyboard, and maybe even its SuperDrive. But in this case, I’m not sure the $200 price tag is really worth it.

Having said that, I think I would prefer to own this MacBook Pro then a Dell, bullet wounds and all.

UPDATE: Several readers pointed out that this Craiglist advert is actually a fake, and that the image within it was taken from a TechCrunch report from back in December. Apologies for the disappointment, but you weren’t really going to buy it, were you?
