iPhone Video Proves “Gem” When Mother-In-Law Goes On Rampage

By

Florida – When Salvatore Miglino went to pick up his son at his former mother-in-law’s house for a court-appointed visit, he figured there would be trouble.

So he started filming secretly with his iPhone, which may have turned out to be a lifesaver. Cheryl Hepner, his 66-year-old ex mother-in-law, went ballistic and pumped three shots into him before her .22 caliber Beretta pistol jammed.

“I can’t believe you shot me!” he screams in the video. Hepner can be heard screaming and cursing on the ground, calling Miglino a “son of a b—-.” Although she aimed high – he was hit in the shoulder and ribs – Miglino still managed to tackle her to the ground.

Although (thankfully) you can’t see much of the altercation in the 1:28-minute video, it went a long way into convincing the police that Granny wasn’t in fact the one shot by her ex-son-in-law, the story she first tried to tell them.

“As evidence goes, that was a gem. That absolutely corroborated everything that Miglino had told detectives,” Broward County polices spokeswoman Dani Moschella told ABC News.

Oh my god, I live in Broward County

  2. Phil says:

I guess Broward County isn’t safe anymore huh. Better find another place.

  3. Scott Minton says:

The worst thing is that it took him getting shot to prove what I’m sure he told many people before it happened. Nobody ever believes the dad…

  4. HerbalEd says:

The police didn’t need the iPhone video to determine who got shot … I’m sure they could easily see who had bullet wounds, and who didn’t.

  5. YellowstoneRocks says:

And this is on cult of mac….why? any cell phone could of done this.

  6. kavok says:

Broward County AGAIN… why do people live there?  Same question I ask about people in southern California with their earthquakes, mudslides, fires, brown-outs, etc.

  7. Goldie20 says:

It took the iPhone, and Siri, to magically explain to the police what had happened.

  8. HerbalEd says:

Were you able to “see” what happened in the video? The video never shows the man or the shooter … and all you hear is something that could have been faked. But there’s no mistaking which person got shot …. it’s the one with three bullet holes.

And what does Siri have to do with it?

  9. HerbalEd says:

But it wasn’t “any cell phone” … it was the iPhone. Thus the story on CoM.

  10. Goldie20 says:

I guess you didn’t buy my John Brownlee imitation ??

Anyway, when the police got on scene they found the iPhone, picked it up, asked Siri who was shot by whom, and Siri told them. No more investigation needed.

  11. Greg Gladwell says:

What the hell is this doing on CoM? Is it a low grade, sensationalist news channel now? As YellowstoneRocks says, any cell phone could have done this.

Low eb on the ‘reporting’ front there, CoM. :(

  12. Jack McClauren says:

I don’t know, wikipedia says Weston is one of the best suburbs in the country.

  13. Christopher Lee says:

makes no sense. yes, “any” cell phone could have done this, but it was an iphone that did it. when an android phone does it, i’m sure phandroid will post the video. (for that matter a few android sites i just checked haven’t posted this)
