Personally, my favorite thing to do after having any picture taken is seek out the “delete” button. (Even if that entails arm wrestling the well-meaning friend to get at it.)

But you may embrace the idea of having your nose or midsection appear in all its glorious 3D in a photo – if so, a new iPhone app called Snappily 3D is for you.

For $1.99,  it promises to bring photos from your iPhone 4 or iPad 2 into a new dimension. Snapily walks you through the shooting process and you can view the pic in 2D or gyroscope and anaglyph mode if you want to check them out with your 3D specs.

The cool part – assuming you’re not content with looking at your uber-photogenic kids or too-cute-for words- dog in 3D from your device – is that Snapily will print them for you starting at $3.99.

Products include business cards ($13.99 for 20) and personalized stationary invitations or announcements, they run $3.99 for 12. Flip notebooks and 3D notebooks are also available but photo cards are currently the best sellers.

You can preview your 3D pics for the prints onsite – without needing special glasses – to see what you’re getting into. It might not be so bad. Check out the above clip from ABC with a sample of Dolly Parton in all her 3D-glory if you don’t believe me.

“We’re going to see more and more 3D, including cameras,” said Snapily CEO Vered Levy-Ron.

Consider yourself forewarned.
