Wenner Media has announced today that it will soon be bringing a digital edition of its Rolling Stone magazine to your iPad, but not before it’s finished with The Beatles. This week, the company is set to launch a port of The Beatles: The Ultimate Album-by-Album Guide for your tablet.

The guide will cost $10 and it will be available as an iPad app from December 1, according to Gizmodo. It’ll feature over 60 photos and 122 pages — just like the book — in addition to 30-second previews of each and every song, along with direct links to iTunes so that users can quickly purchase those they enjoy.

Following the Beatles guide, Wenner Media will launch a digital edition of its Rolling Stone magazine and US Weekly in 2012, both of which it promises will be “full digital magazine replica apps.”

The move is a significant one for Wenner Media, after its founder, Jann Wenner, previously announced that the company was against “prematurely rushing [to create tablet versions of their titles] and showing little confidence and faith in what they’ve really got, their real asset, which is the magazine itself.”
