If you shopping for an iPhone 4S and looking to trade-in an earlier Apple handset, you could get up to $200 off from one electronics retailer. The policy is just the latest appearing as stores ready for Friday’s rush of iPhone customers.
RadioShack stores are accepting pre-orders for both the black and white iPhone 4S with Verizon or AT&T service. Customers can receive up to $200 off the iPhone 4S purchase through the chain’s Trade & Save program. If you trade in an acceptable iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS you are guaranteed at least a $100 discount. The program also accepts other smartphones as trade-ins.
Trade-ins will be accepted between Friday, Oct. 14 and Oct. 31. The iPhone 4S will be available in limited quantities starting Friday.
Other retailers have announced similar programs. Electronics retail giant Best Buy will offer the iPhone 4 with two-year contract for $99 and the iPhone 3GS for $49, although Apple had earlier announced the 3GS was free.
