… The developer can (and did) change the update note after the app was approved.

Apple will approve an iOS 4.3 API app which works on iOS5 right now. Including ones which say “works on iOS5”

They will NOT approve or accept one build with iOS5 SDK… never have. Never will until it goes GM. And no reason for anyone to submit them….

As far as I know you can’t submit apps based on the latest beta OS yet. These guys updated their apps using the iOS 4.3.x so it plays well with upcoming iOS 5. I did the same with my app and was even rejected for mentioning iOS 5 on the update description.

I just paid $ 23.86 for an iPhone and my girlfriend loves her Dell laptop that we got for $ 38.76 there arriving tomorrow by UPS I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 42 inch LED TV to my boss for $ 665 which only cost me $ 62,81 to buy. Here is the website we use to get it all from,

Osfoora (a twitter client that doesn’t even do Push Notifications) updated yesterday to work with iOS5. Sorry Don’t have screen shot to show.

Sure they’re coming tomorrow by UPS. How can you people love those things you “got” without having them!

The usual idea is that you would use NFC to set up the link between the two devices and then do an automatic hand over to a different protocol for doing the actual transfer of data – eg Bluetooth, iphone 5

I just paid $ 23.87 for an iPod 2-64GB and my girlfriend loves her Pana$onic Lumix GF 1 Camera that we got for $ 38.76 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 40 inch LED TV to my boss for $ 657 which only cost me $ 62.81 to buy. Yep other comments are right…these developers updated their app to play nice, but no developer can submit an app and get it approved if it is using any API’s that are only found in the iOS 5 SDK.

Hmmm … the first day of fall is September 23 … Apple said they will release iOS5 in the fall … they’ve never (to my recollection) released anything early. So why, oh why, Killian, would you say that iOS will be released next month? And along with the iPhone 5, which is yet to be announced!?!? I’m not getting my hopes up … Apple will release iOS5 in the fall … and not at the beginning of the fall either, probably October.

My prediction is that there will be an update to iOS4 just before the release of iOS5 that will enable over-the-air updates. We will all be doing our updates OTA IMO.

Fuck1n’ moron, you don’t deserve to be published…

There is a difference between being compatible with iOS 5 and having features that require iOS 5. I am the developer of an app that does not run at all on iOS 5 at the moment. However, I can fix the problem and make it work on (a.k.a. be compatible with) iOS 5 without ever touching the iOS 5 SDK. I can submit that update today. The thing I can’t do is submit an update that uses an API that is only found in iOS 5. These apps that have updated for compatibility with iOS 5 are doing the former: fixing issues with running on iOS 5 using the iOS 4 SDK.

Snow Leopard was released early, if nothing else. So it could happen. As nice as it would be, I don’t have much hope that it will be released early, especially if it the multitude of under-the-hood changes are as massive as Apple says they are. Probably have several more betas to go through.
