BookBook Case Turns Your iPhone Into A Gorgeous Four Inch Folio

TwelveSouth is famous for its selection of beautiful products that lovingly accompany our favorite Apple gadgets. Just recently we reviewed the elegant BookBook case for the MacBook Air, and now there’s an iPhone 4 case to match.

If you’ve already watched the video above, then the BookBook case for iPhone needs little introduction. It looks identical to the BookBook case for the MacBook Air, only miniature. It’s suave, stylish, and sophisticated; made from high quality leather which has been hand distressed and fashioned to look like a vintage book. In addition to protecting your device, this case also has room for your credit cards and ID, meaning you needn’t take your wallet with you.

It’s available now from TwelveSouth with a $60 price tag.

I just paid $22.87 for an iPad2-64GB and my girlfriend loves her Panasonic Lumix GF 1 Camera that we got for $38.76 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 40 inch LED TV to my boss for $675 which only cost me $62.81 to buy. Here is the website we use to get it all from,

It’s a nice idea, but it looks too much like you’re carrying around a bible.

I really liked this until I noticed that you have to remove the iPhone to take photos with the rear camera.  It’s slick for sure, but that could be kind of annoying.  I do like that it’s a combo wallet and case.  The fewer things to carry around seems good…as long as you don’t lose it. :-)

Just bought one, shipping to the UK. Cost $100 but this is the type of thing I’ve been looking for since I got my iPhone 4 back in July 2010.

Cool, but 60 bucks, so your phone can look like a book/wallet/???

Don’t know about you, but I bearly have room for a regular thin-ish wallet in my pocket…

This is prefect for women that carry purses.

    I’ll keep my 60, thank you…

    I would like it if:

    – *didn’t* look like a old timey book
    – *didn’t* have the wrapper around the phone itself

If the phone was attached with a simple piece of velcro and it was plain leather I would buy dozens of these and hand them out to everyone I know.  No one yet makes a good iPhone wallet.  These are close, but the silly “looks like a book” thing and the fact that you have to take it out of the case to take a picture is a non-starter.

The usual idea is that you would use NFC to set up the link between the two devices and then do an automatic hand over to a different protocol for doing the actual transfer of data – eg Bluetooth, iphone 5
