A New Kind Of Heist: Six Apps For Free

Those crazy MacHeisters are at it again, and this time the deal is even harder to resist.
The first ever MacHeist Nano won’t cost you a penny. You can download, without charge, fully licensed copies of ShoveBox, WriteRoom, Twitterific, TinyGrab, and Hordes of Orcs. If 500,000 people take part (which I think is a pretty safe [...]

Getting More iPhone Home Screens – And Keeping Them

A couple of weeks back, I wrote Temporarily Get More iPhone Home Screens Via Cunning Bug Exploit, but had heard staying away from the iTunes Applications tab within my iPhone was probably a Very Good Idea. Reader Larry Pressnell noted that since the most recent iTunes update, his extra screens have been accessible in iTunes.
Since [...]

Cult of Mac Favorite: MobileStacks Is the Best Reason To Jailbreak. Period.

I really like Stacks on my Mac. Stacks makes it fast and easy to find files, folders and apps right from the Dock. It makes managing a Mac pretty slick with all sorts of little UI tricks. That’s why I recently gave MobileStack a go on my jailbroken iPhone.
I must say that it lives up to the [...]

Gallery: Behind the Scenes From Two Classic Apple TV Ads

Is this Steve Jobs driving a tank in a classic Apple TV spot from the late 1990s? That was the rumor at the time: Jobs was making cameos in Apple commercials.
Ken Segall, the TBWA ad man responsible for naming the iMac and Think Different, reveals the truth after the jump. He also shares some rare [...]

Who Has The Most Stickered MacBook?

stickers-psd-20081027.jpg

What is it about MacBooks and stickers? What drives people to cover that pristine white (or black) plastic with other people’s brands and logos?

stickers-inside-20081027.jpg

Some people even start putting stickers on the inside. Maybe they ran out of space on the outside.

stickers-enough-20081027.jpg

But now, you see, I’m wondering. Who has the most stickered MacBook of them all? Should that even be a contest that people would want to win? Are the MacBook-stickerers good or are they bad?

So who’s got the most-stickered Macbook around here? Links to your be-stickered masterpieces, please.

Omg, Don’t ruin you’re mac like that :(

Damnit, I wish you’d have posted this later on this evening. I have a massively stickered up macbook at home but have no current pics of it. Here’s a link to it’s sticker status from WWDC earlier this may: http://flickr.com/photos/sahild/2491579060/

And I was just debating whether I should deface my new MacBook 13″. I think I’ll wait…

    smp

What about MBP’s ? This was one of a few different states it’s been through – now it has just a few…..

I lose. Well, technicaly I own a creaking PowerBook, but I’d never mess with the beautiful Apple design. But I guess if I had a nondescript black MacBook – the Mac to buy if you want people to think you’re using a PC – I guess I’d want to hide it too.

    Eww. That makes me sad.

No stickers for me. But that’s because it’s company owned. If it were mine however… So instead of covering my MacBook I just started covering my external LaCie disks. Why? It gives them a more raw and rugged look. And that’s what I like!

    Found this one on Flickr:

I wouldn’t put stickers on any of the mac laptops in our house – but that one is actually pretty cool.

Yeah, because that bright white glowing apple doesn’t give it away

@imajoebob I’m with you … how about a sticker alternative?

check out these cool laser engraved MacBooks:

I have even more stickers now, but here’s a photo from over a year ago of my MacBook…

I’ll admit I’d go for the occasional static cling decoration, maybe a custom made. But temporary, and probably one at a time. Never anything permanent. It may also be that I don’t want people in my office thinking I’m a 12 year old girl.

@Hostyle hhaha i have a lacie drive i’ve slapped up with stickers too.

The one at the top belongs to my buddy Paul ‘psd’ Downey. Cool!

Mine is more dense but a bit more anal in its sticker coverage…

…hmmm my html got trimmed. My stickered MacBookPro:
