Spanish National Police arrested a group of five Amazon warehouse employees in Madrid for a sneaky scheme to ship iPhones to accomplices who hadn’t paid for them. If the accusations hold up in court, the scofflaws stole nearly $600,000 worth of Apple handsets.

In the first instance, a gang of eight males entered the store after 7pm on Saturday, and began snatching iPhones and other devices, before fleeing in multiple vehicles. In the early hours of Sunday morning, the store’s glass doors were then shattered with rocks, and more products were taken.
Yet another Apple Store has been targeted by thieves in the latest in an ongoing spate of snatch-and-grab robberies targeting Apple retail stores.
The robbery took place midday on Wednesday at an Apple Store in Corte Madera in Marin County, California. As with the other recent robberies, this incident involved multiple young men in hoodies entering the store and then grabbing multiple iPhones and other devices, before fleeing.
