Planes have returned to Fortnite — but you won’t have to combat them in regular Battle Royale matches.

This week’s update brings a brand new Air Royale game mode, as well as new weapons and lots of big improvements. There’s also a new tournament with a $1 million prize pool.

Fortnite season eight will finally land later this week, and it’s going to bring massive changes to Battle Royale.

Epic Games has already published two teasers that give little away, but a number of exciting details have now been confirmed. Fans can look forward to the removal of planes and improved team communication.

Fortnite bags new weapons, including an old favorite

This week’s Fortnite update adds a number of new weapons to the game, including an old fan-favorite. Dual pistols can now be found in almost all Battle Royale game modes, alongside a brand new silenced sniper rifle.

The update will also bring “balance adjustments” for the boom box, the X-4 Stormwing plane, and dynamite.

Fortnite’s weekly update is out with a new seasonal event that gives players the opportunity to enjoy different game modes every day and to unlock festive rewards.

The version 7.10 release also addresses complaints about the X-4 Stormwing plane and delivers a number of big improvements — including support for 60 frames-per-second on the second-generation iPad Pro lineup.

The massive update brings big changes to the Battle Royale map, including zip lines that help you travel to and from high terrain. It also adds Stormwing planes, weapon and vehicle wraps, Creative Mode, and a brand new Battle Pass with more than 100 new rewards.

A teenage girl grounded an Hawaiian Airlines flight for 90 minutes by accidentally sending fake crime scene photos to other passengers over AirDrop.

Flight 23 was already taxiing the runway on Friday morning when passengers started reporting their concerns to the crew. The 15-year-old distributor was trying to send photos from her high school medical-biology class to her mother.

Everyone knows you shouldn’t say “bomb” on an airplane — and it should be just as obvious that you shouldn’t name your wireless gadgets ridiculous things, either.

A simple Wi-Fi hotspot sparked terrorism fears on a recent Australia-bound Qantas plane because someone thought it would be a good idea to name it “mobile detonation device.”

The TSA has started treating smartphones with dead batteries like potential bombs, but after an iPhone mishap on one plane caused an emergency evacuation, maybe they should be more worried about all the iPhones with a full charge too.

Panic broke out on a flight bound for Prague this weekend after an iPhone 5 caught fire in a passenger’s bag, causing the entire plane to be evacuated back to the main terminal.

The Find My iPhone feature that Apple offers for free to users packing iPhones is helping the Navy to locate the wreckage of a plane that crashed just off the island of Robinson Crusoe in Chile. Rescue teams have yet been able to locate the plane since it went down, but thanks to Apple’s service, they are now one step closer.
