If you’ve ever been the victim of unsolicited dick pics, or “cyberflashing,” you can now automatically hide obscene images in iOS 17. Censoring NSFW sexts can give you an extra line of defense against unwanted, creepy texts. This feature, new in iOS 17, puts suspected nude images and videos behind a blurred gray background.

Unsolicited dick pics are a widespread problem. Among adults who reported receiving nude images, 91% of respondents say they were sent without their consent, according to Indiana University research. And one shocking study published in the Journal of Sex Research found 50% of heterosexual men admitted to sending them!

This new Sensitive Content Warning feature in iOS 17 isn’t just for protecting children. A lot of people likely will find it useful.

Two high-tech companies are joining forces for the latest development in immersive VR porn: goggles plus machines.

It was just a matter of time before Google Glass got its first porn app, allowing wearers to enjoy hardcore movies more discreetly — yet more openly — than ever before. The first one comes from MiKandi, a leading creator and distributor of adult apps for Android, and it’ll hit the MiKandi app store sometime this week.

Apple works hard to ensure that inappropriate content doesn’t end up in the wrong hands, and it has strict ratings and approval processes for content distributed through the App Store, the iBookstore, and the iTunes Store. But it would seem the Cupertino company isn’t quite as careful with its social media accounts.

On Sunday night, Apple’s official iBookstore account on Twitter retweeted a lewd message that would certainly get a 17+ rating from the company.

And guess what: The $2 app trumps Playboy’s for titillation, by graphically (yet tastefully) depicting 77 illustrated positions from Cosmopolitan’s book, The Cosmo Kama Sutra. A rating system and clear-cut instructions accompany each entry, as well as the ability to rate each position based on the user’s preference. (Note: The app’s accuracy hasn’t been tested, but I’m open to suggestions from anyone attractive and female).

Even with the app’s fairly innocuous illustrations, I’m a little surprised this one made it through — perhaps the hyper-vigilant App Store guardians are relaxing their Vader-like grip ?
