Those who are lucky enough to be living in one of the ten initial launch countries for Apple’s new iPad are now facing a shipping delay of up to three weeks for the device if they order now. But demand hasn’t stopped the Cupertino company from continuing the tablet’s worldwide rollout as planned.

Apple confirmed today that the new iPad will be available in a further 25 countries from March 23.

If you go to Verizon Wireless‘s front page right now, they are hyping the imminent launch of something, which we can only assume is iPad 3 related.

But what is it? An iPad 3 with LTE is obviously a big contender, but I wonder if it could be something less splashy but just as important overall, like shared data plans.

Today, Apple started selling the iPhone 4S in twenty-two other countries. Those countries are: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
