Apple always kicks WWDC off with a big keynote on Monday morning and this year will be no different. AllThingsD reports that Apple has officially stated that the keynote for WWDC is scheduled for Monday, June 10th.

No word on who the speakers for the keynote will be, but you can expect to see at least Tim Cook and Phil Schiller. Who knows, maybe Jony Ive will make an appearance to show off his changes to iOS 7, now that he’s the director of Human Interface. We’ll have to wait and see.

WWDC 2013 was just announced. Finally, Apple’s going to end this year’s drought, and show off some new stuff after going the entire first four months of the year without a single keynote or product announcement.

But now that WWDC is in our sights, what are people most excited about? There are tons of hardware rumors about the iPad, iPhone and even the iWatch but we doubt we’ll see either of those three. There’s a great discussion unfolding over on Branch between some Apple reporters about the future release date of iOS 7.

Apple has issued some small updates to its iWork suite in the Mac and iOS App Stores. Pages, Keynote and Numbers have been updated to version 9.3 on the Mac, and a 1.7 update is rolling out to the iOS versions.

The only thing Apple has said about the minor 9.3 update on the Mac is that it adds support for the 1.7 versions of the iOS apps. All updates are recommended for iWork users on both platforms.

Famed screenwriter and producer Aaron Sorkin’s background is in the theater, and started his career as a promising playwright before going on to write such films as A Few Good Men and The Social Network, along with television shows like Sports Night and The West Wing.

Sorkin’s theater background is worth keeping mind, given the latest revelation he has dropped concerning the plot and structure of his upcoming bio-pic based on the life of Steve Jobs.

Apple may be looking to bring iWork document editing to the cloud as it hunts for an iWork Software QA Engineer with a new job listing on its website. Based at Apple’s Cupertino campus, the successful candidate will work on “the next generation of Desktop, Mobile and Web application/services.”

As someone who is involved in public speaking on a regular basis – and not being a fan of PowerPoint – I’ve really embraced Apple’s Keynote application. I’ve gleaned a ton of tips on delivering a great talk from experts like Garr Reynolds and Nancy Duarte, but when it comes to dealing with Keynote, I’ve had to learn in bits and pieces as I’ve gone along. In my case, I’ve had the time to learn it – and I’ve taken my time to as well. During its iPad mini unveiling last week, Apple showed off an awesome video from the iPhone 5 launch day on September 22. The clip featured an uplifting soundtrack by The Rival, and lots of happy customers who had just picked up Apple’s latest smartphone.

As is often the case with Apple products, feelings towards the new iPad mini were mixed following the Cupertino company’s special event in San Jose on Tuesday. Many were wowed by its good looks and tiny form factor, which still manages to run regular iPad apps just fine. While others were confused over its $329 price tag.

We had expected Apple to price the iPad mini along the same lines as cheap Android tablets, such as the Google Nexus 7 and the Amazon Kindle Fire, which sell for $200. We didn’t quite expect Apple to go quite that low, but we felt around $250 would be just about right.

Instead, Apple chose to ignore what its competitors were doing. You might say that this is a big mistake, and that the iPad mini doesn’t stand a chance against its 7-inch rivals. But many analysts feel the iPad mini will do just fine at $329.

Apple switched gears for the iPad Mini event. Rather than holding it at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco they’re holding it at the California Theater in San Jose and the theater is amazingly gorgeous.

Apple’s search engine leaked the iPhone 5 hours before the actual keynote announcement last month. This time Apple search engine hasn’t spoiled any of the announcement, but the world’s most popular search engine has one of the main products of today’s announcement.

This morning Google search was pulling results from Apple.com that revealed Apple will release a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display today. Google’s web crawlers even picked up that the pricing on the new units too.

It seems like every time Apple has an event we all go through the same routine and emotions. You load your browser with the all the regular sites. You tweet the same witty lines. You feel disappointment in the newest product. Then the reality distortion field kicks in and you start hungering for it all the sudden.

According to the latest round of rumors, Apple will unveil the iPad Mini and a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display on October 23rd. Both aren’t radically new products, they’re just smaller versions of the iPad or 15-inch MacBook Pro.

So which one is more lust worthy? I’ve been using a 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro for a few months now and it’s beautiful, but too bulky compared to the 11-inch MacBook Air I had been using for the last year. A smaller MacBook Pro with a Retina display would be perfect. As far as the iPad Mini goes, I don’t play a lot of games on my iPad, and a smaller screen would make it more portable and better for reading in bed. I can’t decide which one I should want more though. What do you think?

The iPad mini is getting all the hype this month, but we haven’t heard much about the line of new iMacs that should be coming out some month soon. Apple hasn’t updated the iMac lineup in over 531 days, but according to a new rumor, a redesigned iMac might be unveiled at the iPad mini event on October 23rd.

Apple is bound to make an iPad Mini someday soon, and for the last few months the rumors have been saying  they’ll be announcing it in October. According to Fortune, Apple is set to mail out iPad Mini invitations on October 10th, which might suggest the actual keynote will be held on October 17th.

Every time Apple launches a new iPhone they use a lot of fabulous adjectives to describe how incredibly mind blowing it is. They usually use the same adjectives over and over to beat it into your small feeble brain that this new iPhone is revolutionary, fast, and cool.

The guys at Buzzfeed made a ridiculously amazing video full of a video editing precision that contains all the adjective Apple has used to describe the iPhone over the last five years. It’s glorious, so watch it below.
