    COMING in a month.

actually been in ny a few weeks ago, in a period of 2 weeks there were no iPhones to be found in any apple store, one expection of the Soho store. That had iPhones for 1 day, and ppl were lining up to get them from 9am (the 8 gigs sold out by 9.30, there were some 16 gigs still for grabs)

Leander, did you get Giz’ permission before republishing the photo? Just curious.

mike — no, i didn’t get permission to use the photo. i assume its ok to ‘borrow’ a photo in exchange for a link. giz and other blogs have borrowed plenty from us — CoM and wired. as long as there’s credit and a link, it’s ok.

All three Manhattan stores had not a single iPhone between them all week last week. AT&T had loads. Guys in the 5th Ave Apple Store didn’t give anything away on the arrival of the 3G version, but where there’s smoke …

FWIW I eventually got mine through Craigslist – no 3G here anyway so what the heck …
