Those crazy MacHeisters are at it again, and this time the deal is even harder to resist.

Getting More iPhone Home Screens – And Keeping Them

A couple of weeks back, I wrote Temporarily Get More iPhone Home Screens Via Cunning Bug Exploit, but had heard staying away from the iTunes Applications tab within my iPhone was probably a Very Good Idea. Reader Larry Pressnell noted that since the most recent iTunes update, his extra screens have been accessible in iTunes.

Cult of Mac Favorite: MobileStacks Is the Best Reason To Jailbreak. Period.

I really like Stacks on my Mac. Stacks makes it fast and easy to find files, folders and apps right from the Dock. It makes managing a Mac pretty slick with all sorts of little UI tricks. That’s why I recently gave MobileStack a go on my jailbroken iPhone.
I must say that it lives up to the [...]

Gallery: Behind the Scenes From Two Classic Apple TV Ads

Is this Steve Jobs driving a tank in a classic Apple TV spot from the late 1990s? That was the rumor at the time: Jobs was making cameos in Apple commercials.

IPhone Users Swamp Felt Case Artists

The felt case protects your iPhone and iPod

If you’re looking for a “green” way to protect your new iPhone, felted cases appear the latest fad for eco-conscious Apple fans. The latest example: the Domo Kun iPhone case. The  felt case, designed for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPod Classic, is emblazoned with Domo Jun, the monster serving as a Japanese TV mascot.

The felt monster measures 4.7-inch  x 3.1-inch, but the Etsy artist announced Tuesday the hand-made item was sold-out, just a day after putting the iPhone/iPod holder on the site. A similar fate met another iPhone case, a felt version of an old-style rotary phone.

In a sign of the popularity of home-made felted alternatives to mass-produced holders, the retro iPhone case sold out June 1, the same day it was offered on Etsy.

However, felt fans still have options. If you’re looking to house your iPhone in something warm and fuzzy, another artist has a felt iPhone holder which closely resembles the iconic Apple device. Priced at $39.50, the felted item measures 14.5 cm x 8 cm.

If you’re not into warm and fuzzy, there are alternative carrying cases for your iPhone, including Paul Frank’s  silicon skull and cross bones, available at the Apple Store.

    I don’t like it

Not so hard to predict that a hand made version with only a few copies would sell out

also is domo kun officially licensed or is the craft person profiting from someone elses ideas as most do?

    I’m
pretty sure the Paul frank case by comparison would be licensed

Oh and what’s so Eco about it? Most craft felts are made from synthetic polomers. It’s to expensive to produce wool felts in a wide range of colours.

[...] felt isn’t fine and you are bah-humbug about bamboo, consider a crystaline case from Swarovski. [...]
