Agatha Christie Peril at End House – As the best-selling writer of books of all time and the best-selling writer of any kind, Agatha Christie has influenced not only her loyal readers but unsuspecting audiences as well. Her works have been adapted into cartoons, anime, films, stage works, television series (Poirot, Miss Marple, etc.) and games. The game takes its inspiration from the original novel of the same name, Peril at End House, A Hercule Poirot Mystery, which was written 76 years ago. In typical Agatha Christie fashion, this Mac game is also a “whodunit” using I-Spy, hidden objects game play. In order to solve this murder mystery, gamers are to play through dozens of fun puzzles. Nick Buckley is the last in a long line of Buckleys living at End House, an enormous and isolated estate overlooking the cliffs of St. Loo. Caribbean Hideaway – Some gamers would guess that this is a swap gem style match three Mac game with a Pirate theme based on the screenshot, and you’d be right about the theme, but not about the gem swapping. In the story, deckhand Dewey is trying to enjoy his yo-ho years sailing the seas with other pirates but his life soon becomes tangled in a piraty knot. His girlfriend, Ruby Barnacle, gets arrested at Shark Tooth Tavern for having associated herself with a known pirate – but the real truth behind this story is: The Governor of Port Baron is using Ruby as bait to snare the biggest pirate of all: Captain Caninbahl, Dewey’s boss.
