Five Fun Games: Arcade Classics Redux, The Ultimate Illusion, Underworld Warriors and More

Happy Friday! Mac Games and More has again picked out a collection of casual games you might not have heard of, to play into the weekend. Games include a hack and slash fighting elves, a logic puzzle mining for treasure, an addictive arcade classic and more.
 Deluxe Poc Mon – As the name suggests, this game is sort of like Pacman, the arcade game from the 80s, but here’s the big difference: it’s much more fun. Packed with all kinds of extras like magical bonuses, duels, guns, bombs, ghosts, lasers and more, it’s everything you wanted in the original classic game. Well, now you have ‘em. Play alone or with teams of up to three players. 100 levels, extra goodies to discover, adding your own music in the game and a kids’ mode for little ones or for gamers whose Poc Mon chops aren’t up to par.  Westward 3 Gold Rush – Wrangle up your courage, don your chaps and choose a character from a choice of three: 1) Polly Hatchet, an experienced rancher; 2) General Amos Cutter, a calm and clever strategist; or, 3) Shawnee Longfeather, an Iroquois medicine woman. Each personality carries his/her own specific strengths and weakness, so keep this in mind when playing this western sim/strategy game. The town is flattened after a destructive tornado so rebuild the settlement from the ground up. Gold is abundant and all over for the taking, but bandits abound so watch your back and make certain the town thrives. Yeeeehaw! Download it

 Mystic Mine – Mystic Mine takes you under the ground. Doesn’t that sound fun? Luckily, you won’t have to experience any claustrophobia down there in the mine playing this puzzle game for Mac. Collect the required number of coins or gems and finish your missions in the limited time imposed on you. Guide your mining cart making sure you switch the tracks with the spacebar to go in the direction of the treasure. Plan fast and well because you really aren’t given much time per level. This fun little puzzler for your Mac features over 200 levels and lots of bonuses. (torch, key, balloon, oiler, dynamite!) Play with up to six people on one keyboard. Download it

| The Conjurer – Imagine the most powerful and celebrity magician inviting the top 10 illusionists to his dark, spooky castle. Who’d fall for THAT trap? All of them, it seems. They all accept. Of course, this invitation comes with some strings. Each magician must conjure up his finest routine, the best he has ever delivered. Impressing is key and whoever performs the number one illusion or magic trick, will gain access to the greatest magician’s highly coveted secrets. The plot sounds simple but nothing is as it seems in the world of magic. It turns out that one of the competitors is out to kill the host magician. WHO is it? Obviously, someone who doesn’t want or need his secrets… Play through puzzles and magic tricks throughout this hidden objects game while discovering who the guilty party is…before it’s too late!  Kivi’s Underworld – Hack and Slash comes to you starring Kivi, a young Lumen warrior leading a disastrous mining expedition, and unfolding uncharted territories to uncover a mythical (or so he thought) race of dark elves. Kivi is the lone survivor who makes it back to his home only to find that no one will believe him about the elves. He is in a fight of his life and must do so alone. He needs to recruit Lumens and fight off the elves with limited lives and powers. Download it |
