A day after Apple’s big announcements come the discounts. First on the list is the 24-inch 2.66GHz iMacs. We also have three more iMac bargains. The Apple Store dropped prices on four factory-refurbished Apple Aluminum iMac desktops. (Each is at least $150 off; all are at at the lowest price we’ve seen.) They’re covered by the same 1-year Apple warranty that comes with new units. (That’s a $150 drop and the lowest total price we’ve seen for this previous-generation model.) Sales tax is added where applicable. It features an Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 2.13GHz dual-core processor, 13.3″ 1280×800 widescreen LCD, 2GB RAM, 160GB 5400 rpm hard drive, SuperDrive, 802.11a/n wireless, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, and an iSight webcam. The Apple Store is now accepting orders for its new, Bluetooth-enabled Apple Magic Mouse for $69 with free shipping. (Scroll towards the bottom of the page to find it.) Sales tax is added where applicable. Billed as the first multi-touch mouse, the Magic Mouse allows users to click, scroll, or swipe via its seamless top shell. It also features a wireless range of up to 33 feet. Two AA batteries are included.

This item is expected to ship within 5 to 7 business days.

Today, Apple announced minor updates to its Time Capsule automatic backup (pictured) and AirPort Extreme wireless router. Both receive upgrades to the full 802.11n standard (from draft 802.11n) and a better antenna which is claimed to offer better performance and range. The AirPort Extreme is $179, while the Time Capsule 1TB and 2TB models remain priced at $299 and $499, respectively. All are available with free shipping from The Apple Store. At the Apple Store, search for “Apple Remote” to preorder the new Apple Remote for $19 plus $4 for shipping. Sales tax is added where applicable. Now in aluminum, this remote allows you to control your iPod or iPhone from across the room when used with the Universal Dock. It can also control many Macs with built-in IR sensors (most from 2005 or later have it). It’s expected to ship within two to four weeks.
