Those crazy MacHeisters are at it again, and this time the deal is even harder to resist.
The first ever MacHeist Nano won’t cost you a penny. You can download, without charge, fully licensed copies of ShoveBox, WriteRoom, Twitterific, TinyGrab, and Hordes of Orcs. If 500,000 people take part (which I think is a pretty safe [...]

Getting More iPhone Home Screens – And Keeping Them

A couple of weeks back, I wrote Temporarily Get More iPhone Home Screens Via Cunning Bug Exploit, but had heard staying away from the iTunes Applications tab within my iPhone was probably a Very Good Idea. Reader Larry Pressnell noted that since the most recent iTunes update, his extra screens have been accessible in iTunes.
Since [...]

Cult of Mac Favorite: MobileStacks Is the Best Reason To Jailbreak. Period.

I really like Stacks on my Mac. Stacks makes it fast and easy to find files, folders and apps right from the Dock. It makes managing a Mac pretty slick with all sorts of little UI tricks. That’s why I recently gave MobileStack a go on my jailbroken iPhone.
I must say that it lives up to the [...]

Is this Steve Jobs driving a tank in a classic Apple TV spot from the late 1990s? That was the rumor at the time: Jobs was making cameos in Apple commercials.
Ken Segall, the TBWA ad man responsible for naming the iMac and Think Different, reveals the truth after the jump. He also shares some rare [...]

Apple Releases iPhone 2.2, iTunes 8.0.2

picture-1.jpg

As has been widely rumored, Apple rolled out iPhone OS 2.2 tonight via software update, which brings Google Street View, mass transit directions, location sharing by e-mail, and, most excitingly, over-the-air podcast downloads, which has been a fairly glaring oversight (and source of considerable controversy).

At the same time, Apple has whipped out iTunes 8.0.2, which is basically a bug fix, plus improved results for VoiceOver, Apple’s accessibility technology for the visually impaired.

Nothing big, but good to see Apple improving its software nonetheless.

I am a regular blogger and sometimes source my material from Podcasts that I get in iTunes.

Up until the last version of iTunes 7 it was possible to select and copy feed information from the “Show Description” field available from the Contextual Menu.

But since the advent of iTunes 8 this feature has largely been debilitated.

Currently in very few podcasts an occasional link in the “Show Description” field, maybe live, but in a majority of cases the text in the “Show Description” field is completely impervious to interaction.

Perhaps someone can find a fix for this ?

Hey, I have the Ipod touch and it says that i can upgrade it to the iphone. I bought it and everything but everytime i try to update it always says “there was a problem downdoading the ipod software for the ipod (my ipod’s name). You do not have permission to access the requested resource.
Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later.
I don’t get why it says these things when I do have permission and everything what do I do please help I really want to add games to my ipod touch and this is the only way or is there other ways? Please contact me back!
