Apple Fixes iMac Freeze, Releases OS X Updates

Apple’s biggest embarrassment in recent months has finally been taken care of. The notorious iMac Freeze that has affected this summer’s revision is nipped in the bud with the iMac Graphics Firmware 1.0 Update.
Prior to this fix, iMac screens flickered and froze constantly. A lot of people were unhappy. Most readers now report that it’s taken care of. Problems solved.
The update caps two weeks of updates from Apple:
- iTunes 7.5
- Quicktime 7.3
- Mac OS X 10.4.11
- Mac OS X Server 10.4.11
- iPhoto 7.1.1
- Pro Applications Update 2007-02
- Mac OS X 10.5.1
- Mac OS X Server 10.5.1

Its just a bit of a shame that Leopard torpedoed Abode Photoshop Elements 2 – but hey – its old – mind the update to ELements 4 loads- and thats about it – so that was a waste of £50. I wonder if these are likely to get fixes or if Photoshop and other key bits of my software setup that are now useless since I pointlessly wasted £85 on Leopard will get fixed. I doubt it. First time I have felt this unhappy about an Apple upgrade.
