If you have an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus that’s not properly showing how much battery you have left, there’s good news and bad news. Bad news first? Apple doesn’t exactly know what’s causing the problem. Good news: They’re looking into it, and there’s a temporary fix.
On Apple’s support site, a new document has been posted, saying that the glitch seems to have something to do with manually changing your clock.
If you change the time on your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus manually or change time zones when traveling, you might notice that the battery percentage doesn’t update.
If you’re afflicted with these problems, Apple recommends restarting your iPhone, then going to Settings > General > Date & Time and make sure that “Set Automatically” is turned on.
According to the document, “Apple is aware of this issue and is investigating the cause and a solution.” So hopefully the fix will be found and rolled out as part of iOS 9.3’s final release.
This bug has been affecting users at least as far back as the iPhone 6s’s September release.
