PwnageTool & Ultrasn0w Updated for iOS 4.3.3

The iPhone Dev-Team’s PwnageTool has just been updated for Mac OS X users to provide a stable jailbreak for the latest iOS 4.3.3 release. Just as before the application provides an untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad (1st-gen) and the iPod touch (3rd- & 4th-gen).

PwnageTool uses i0nic’s untethered exploit to safely install jailbroken 4.3.3 firmware whilst preserving your 1.59.00 baseband. This gives users the opportunity to continue to use UltraSn0w to unlock their device.

As we reported yesterday, Apple’s latest iOS release included no patch for the most recent jailbreak exploit, and all the Dev-Team had to do was issue a simple update to the PwnageTool software to provide a stable 4.3.3 jailbreak.

Ultrasn0w has also been updated to version 1.2.3 to provide an unlock for the 4.3.3 release. Like its predecessor, however, it only works with older iPhone basebands, including:

  • iPhone 4 – 1.59.00
  • iPhone 3G/3GS – 4.26.08, 5.11.07, 5.12.01, 5.13.04 and 6.15.00

You can download PwnageTool 4.3.3 now from the iPhone Dev-Team’s website, or from the downloads section over at the iPhone Download Blog. Ultrasn0w is available through Cydia.
