Apple Introduces Apple Support Communities

I tried to look up something this Sunday morning on Apple’s Discussion Forums and they were down. Now fast forward to this evening after all the obligatory Sunday events and the sites back up along with a big surprise.  Apple has launched Apple Support Communities. The site is back up in a big way.

Apple Support Communities are a revised version of Apple’s popular discussion forums. The site now makes it easier for Mac, Mac OS X, iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and iOS users to find answers to problems or questions they might have.

The website redesign adds a lot of new features to the forums. They are now easier to browse, you can share images by uploading them and they offer social features via the ability to “like” a post. The image feature alone will be the best out of the new features that have been introduced. After all a picture is worth a 1,000 words and in technical support I’d say more like a million.

I was a bit apprehensive about the changes until I discovered that the content I’ve come to know in the forums is intact. Past topics that I took part in as well as my own posts are all still there. I let out a big sigh of relief upon seeing that.

Check out the new Apple Support Communities for a pleasant surprise or take a look at all the new features the site has to offer now.
