Survey Says Verizon iPhone Users Experience Less Dropped Calls

iPhone customers who jumped AT&T’s ship for Verizon upon the unveiling of the CDMA iPhone did so for mostly one reason: better call quality. But does the data back up the hope?

According to Changewave’s February data, it sure does. Their survey found that new Verizon iPhone users are experiencing fewer dropped calls than their friends over at AT&T, with only 1.8% of all Verizon customers experiencing dropped calls compared to almost 5% at AT&T.

Those numbers are really good for Verizon. Even better, 46% of future iPhone 4 buyers say they’ll get a Verizon iPhone, compared to only 27% for AT&T.

    So these “future iPhone 4 buyers”… if 46% of them are going to buy a Verizon iPhone and 27% are going to buy an AT&T iPhone, what iPhone are the other 27% going to buy?

    I hope the Verizon iPhone customers experience less calls because I experience way too many on my Droid X. I’m heading back to AT&T when the iPhone 5 is released.

    But yeah, even in my own experience Verizon seemed more reliable. I don’t care though. Verizon customer service, which started out fine for me, suddenly turned sour.

    I want more details…. how many people were surveyed? How many ATT iPhone users are there and how many Verizon iPhone users are there… in what cities did the people surveyed live….
    etc.. etc… etc…
