A Quick-Look at Griffin’s Elan Folio Slim for the iPad 2

If you’re like me, and want to keep your Apple investments protected, then this early iPad 2 case by Griffin is just for you. It’s similar to the original and official Apple iPad case in terms of functionality, but it’s made of some pretty decent leather with a suede inner lining. It retails for $39.99, and it’s a perfect buy (considering the iPad 2 was only launched just yesterday). Continue reading to check it out!

I originally stopped by one of my local Best Buy’s to pickup a Smart Cover, because the plastic wrapping around the iPad was getting pretty orritating. Luckily, Best Buy had the Griffin Elan Folio Slim for the iPad 2. I was really glad to see this case, because there’s no way I could use a Smart Cover without getting the back scratched, based on the way I use my iPad on a day-to-day basis.

The inside of the case has a nice suede material, to keep the front of your iPad 2 protected while the cover is closed. The case also has all of the cutouts you need: rear-facing camera, side-switch + volume button, power button, top microphone, 3.5mm headset jack, 30-pin dock connetor.

This case also doubles as a stand. You can stand your iPad up so that you can watch videos, or you can set it down so that it’s at a perfect typing angle.

Overall, I love this case. The design, availability, and functionality is great. If you’re desparate to keep your new iPad 2 protected while still offering all of its functionality, then this is definitely the case to get.
