iPhone Update Creates Headaches For iTunes Users

iPhone Update Creates Headaches For iTunes UsersJust days after Apple released updated iPhone firmware, some owners of the handset report problems connecting with iTunes.

The complaints, voiced on Apple’s online support message areas, revolve around reported trouble syncing their iPhone with Apple’s music store.

While many owners talked of problems with their iPhone syncing with iTunes, one writer reported having trouble adding a movie he purchased to his 160GB iPod.

So far, Apple has not issued a fix to the problem, nor commented on the comments regarding the 2.2.1 update.

I have had a consistent issue with iTunes/iPhone, wherein if my iPhone is attached to my computer at all, iTunes will freeze for 15+ minutes between songs. Didn’t have anything to do with this update. Sucks…

KC – sounds like you have an issue on your computer or its software. I’ve had consistently great results with both the iPhone and iPhone 3G in syncing with iTunes for the past 1 1/2 years since the original iPhone was released. I use a Mac running OS X, so if you’re on Windows, that might include issues I have not experienced. John

Just to throw in my experience with the latest iPhone software upgrade, I have had no problems at all. They upgrade went fine and consequent syncs work just as expected.

If its itunes not being very compatible with Windows, then Apple should stop selling these until they are compatible. As much as Apple would like us to think they are the perfect software company, they still need to cater to the 90+% of us that use windows. I too have had endless problems with itunes/iphone 2g and 3g. I know its not Windows fault either because I run some pretty heavy duty software with no problems at all. The only headache I ever have is with itunes… Thanks Apple for overpromising and underdelivering… as usual…

well i justwant to say bully for u all u guy’s bragging that apple are amazing etc. justb because ur itunes and i phones work ok does not make the issues that others are having any less apples fault. i have had an iphone since they have been out and have many diferent versions of the ipod.
but have never moanedm obout my ipod/iphone crashes etc if anything i have always defended apple untill now!
this was the final straw every new iphone update has had more and more problems but none as bad as this new itunes update. I am now efectively cut ot of my own itunes and unable to restore my crapy iphone. I have tryed all sorts of solutions from uninstalling itunes and then reinstalling it to updating the driver for the iphone and many many more. but i have to say the worst thing about it is that apple are completely ignoring this problem that is clearly effecting hundreds if not thousands of apple customers. wether we are mac owners or not should not affect customer care. Apple u have let us all down!!
