One of our favorite applications this week is a great new photography app called Simply Postcards that lets you turn any photo into a real postcard that you can have printed with a personal message and mailed to friends and family.
Printer Pro is Readdle’s latest application for iOS, and one of the most impressive applications in our favorites this week. It allows you to wirelessly print a whole range of documents direct from your iPad, including email attachments, web pages, and iWork documents.

Simply Postcards – (Free) Universal – Photography
With Simply Postcards on your iOS device, you can grab a photo from your camera roll, add a personal message to the back, and have it mailed out to friends and family from as little as $1. Every postcard is personalised by you and printed to a very high standard on heavy stock paper. It’s then sent out the following day so your recipient receives it in good time. The easiest and most personal way to send postcards while you’re on vacation!
Printer Pro – ($6.99) iPad – Productivity
Print wirelessly from your iPad to many Wi-Fi printers and any printer attached to your Mac with the companion app (free) installed on your computer. Once installed on your device, you can open a whole range of documents in Printer Pro, including email attachments, iWork documents, web pages, photos, contacts, and documents stored on your Dropbox, MobileMe, and Google Docs accounts. Then effortlessly send them straight to your printer.
iTranslate for iPad – (Free) iPad – Reference
iTranslate is a language translator for your iPad that enables you to translate words, phrases, and whole texts into over 50 supported languages. Instant translation starts working as soon as you begin to type, and the text-to-speech function will voice your text in 11 languages. Great, simple user interface and incredibly easy to use.
Central Park – ($1.99) iPhone – Reference
Created by the Central Park Conservancy, the Central Park app for your iPhone is the perfect guide to the world-renowned landmark for both first-time visitors and native New Yorkers. It features a fully interactive map, GPS location technology to tell you exactly where you are, customizable notifications that will alert you when you approach the park’s famous landmarks, and the latest news on events which you can add to your device’s calendar. You can also enjoy over 200 images of the park’s most loved points of interest, and the app will even tell you where the nearest bathroom is.
