Remote Pad App Turns Your iPad Into A Canvas

The iPad seems a fairly small canvas, but it’s not much smaller than the Mona Lisa, upon which was painted the enigmatic face of history’s most beloved transvestite. Why not sling it up on an easel, then, and do some painting with Remote Palette… easily one of the neatest painting apps we’ve seen lately, largely through its fun cross-device universal functionality.

The idea is pretty cool: using your iPad as a canvas, you dip your finger into pools of paint on your iPhone or iPod Touch palette. There’s also a finger paint mode, which seems pretty fun.

Not bad, especially for $0.99. It’s easy, though, to see the opportunities yet to be seized here: imagine how cool it would be if your iPhone didn’t have a preset palette of colors, but if Remote Palette had some sort of liquid simulation allowing users to actually mix and swirl paints together, just like on a real palette. Hopefully in the next update!
