The names of Apple’s next-generation smartphones have been leaked on the company’s own website hours ahead of today’s big keynote. iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone Xr were all mentioned in a product sitemap XML file, which Apple has since pulled.
The file also revealed the long list of color options for the iPhone Xr, and confirmed the device will have a 6.1-inch display with up to 256GB of storage.
As one of the most secretive companies in the world, it’s very rare that Apple accidentally leaks anything. But in the space of two weeks, two massive website leaks have revealed what Apple Watch Series 4 and the new iPhone lineup will look like, and what they’ll be called.
Apple spills 2018 iPhone names
A product sitemap XML file, first discovered by ATH before being removed by Apple, contains a long list of URLs for upcoming Apple products. Those URLs confirm the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone Xr names for Apple’s new smartphones

The sitemap also confirms iPhone Xr will have a 6.1-inch display, and that it will be available in black, white, red, yellow, coral, and blue. It seems buyers will be able to choose from 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options.
iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max will be available on all major carriers in the U.S., as well as unlocked for those who already have a service plan. However, it doesn’t look like iPhone Xr will be available in an unlocked option — at least not initially.
Apple’s keynote kicks off at 10 a.m. today
Apple will officially confirm all of this at its ‘Gather round’ keynote, which kicks off at 10 a.m. PT today from the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park. We’re also expecting an Apple Watch Series 4, as we mentioned, plus upgraded iPad Pros, and more.
