OK Cupid: iPhone Users Have Twice As Much Sex As Android Users

The death of reformed cad and marginally inept Mac writer John Brownlee was predicated by what seemed to him, at the time, to be the most innocuous sally into pre-dinner small talk.

“I heard today, baby, that OK Cupid says that iPhone users have twice as much sex as Android owners. Isn’t that interesting?”

Brownlee only realized his mistake as the first of many skull-crushing blows rained down upon his head, but by then it was too late to identify himself as a statistical anomaly: all 4.3-inches of his girlfriend’s discarded Droid X had already been deftly crammed past his uvula while she screamed, “Never again, you bounder, I said never again!”

Who’d want to screw an android anyway?

This does not indicate “Sexual Activity” it denotes “Sexual Promiscuity.” Listing the number of partners does not necessarily indicate the frequency of activity, just that you get around. The better title might be “iPhone Users are sluts”

  • John Brownlee

Well, D, that’s certainly true in my case.

If the term ‘sex’ was expanded to include sex with one self, I am sure that Android would take the lead by a land slide. )

    Ahahahahah

The chart doesn’t Actually show that – the blog misdescribes – it – it looks at number of partners not frequency or number of sexual encounters. Different things.
Worth bearing in min female iPhone users have had probably statistically more partners by age 30. Also iPhones seem to take more attractive pictures. Or is that more attractive people in the pictures?

Other potential titles than the misleading one Brownlee came up with:

iPhone users are “looser” than other smartphone users. Not losers, but looser.

iPhone users are ridden by more people than the village bicycle

iPhone users get around – like a record “whoo! whoo!” (Insert pic of Drew from Office Space)

Upward trend in iPhone user promiscuity leads to higher VD rates, which leads to more full-coverage iPhone case sales than “Antennagate” (OK, this one is misleading too)

It indicates that statisticians obviously ain’t gettin’ any and must have way too much time to spend collating nonesense like this!

The old adage, “90% of statistics are made-up on the spot.”
