Pictures of Elusive White iPhone 4 Leaked From China

Pictures of a white iPhone 4 in the wild have been leaked out of China.

The white iPhone 4 was apparently sneaked out of the factory inside the box for a black iPhone 4 and taken to Hong Kong.

The white iPhone 4 has suffered several delays, and is due to ship “later this year,” according to a curt statement from Apple. The device was originally supposed to ship in with the black iPhone 4, but has pushed back twice for reasons unknown. There has been speculation that the white iPhone leaks light from its LCD.

The pictures below who a 32GB model and include details like the headphone jack connector and dock connector.

UPDATE: This might be a fake, as noted by our friends over at 9to5Mac. Vendors in Hong Kong, for example, can turn a black iPhone 4 into a white iPhone 4 for about $360. The lack of a silver metal ring around the camera flash is the give-away.

Thanks Chris of MICGadget.

    Nice to know China has just as shit reception as here in New York City!

  • Me

    Can anybody tell me what the heck is that multi-perforated sensor on top of the speaker? It’s certainly not visible on my black iPhone 4, not even under direct sunlight, as the other proximity and light sensors.

  • Rick

    It’s funny how the box in the photo says “black 32gb”.

  • Mike

    Actually, the sensors are visible under direct sunlight. You hold it under sunlight, You can see the sensors at the top. My guess is, with the big rumor that Verizon has snatched the iPhone in January according to Bloomberg, the White Model may be a CDMA capable iPhone. That’s why it was delayed.

    @Rick-

    Read the story.

    is the antenna adjusted for this white model. i dont see the line on one side of the phone that is on both sides for the black iphone that has been causing all the signal problems. is it just more is it not there

  • Jesse T

    My White iPhone Pants are going crazy. She has stood me up twice before but like the sucker that I am here I wait again with a dozen roses in hand.

  • shempenny

    @gibbons – The ‘x’ still marks the spot with lines on the white model shown above. I’m not buying into the fact that there was ever an issue! Apple explained that they marked the spot on purpose for people to know where the weak spot is on the iPhone and didn’t realize it would be turned around on them (see Steve Jobs’ press conference on July 16, 2010). http://www.apple.com/apple-events/july-2010/

    @thompson – Thank you! I was going to say the same thing.

    Overall, I’m so exicited!!! I want the white version SO bad… I just hope it’s not going to be exclusive to Verizon (that’s my prediction). If that happens, I’m seriously frightened just thinking about all the current AT&T iPhone users who want the white model… there’s going to be an EPIC outcry of anger!

  • shempenny

    @Jesse T – Totally… me too!!! :-)

  • coste

    if you look in second picture from top where the phone is with its back up you can see that is still got the `GAP` on the side ..

  • Rakim

    These are fakes…I was in Hong Kong on holiday a couple of weeks ago and saw these on the cheap in several stores (the real iPhone 4s were going for $18880HK…yup, my thoughts exactly). I was already a proud owner of my own iPhone 4 and excited nonetheless, but on closer inspection these were fakes. The grille at the top was the dead giveaway…everyone who owns a black iPhone 4 will tell you that they’re very barely visible on the phone. The reason they’re such good fakes is because the parts are supplied by the same factories that produce Apple’s goods or if that’s not possible, factory owners imitate the design with their own machinery.

    The phone was also very slightly thicker. Build quality lower. Sorry to burst your bubbles XD

  • Rakim

    Or ummm…I could be wrong. These do look far more genuine and maybe the ones I saw were fake haha ^.^’

  • shempenny

    @Rakim – Yeah, the ones you saw in person were likely fakes, but these pics look quite genuine as compared with the black model!

  • Realm123

    The dock connector appears to be gold. Idk if the flash on the camera made the image appear this way, or if it really is gold.

  • Lynch

    @realm123 are you stupid?

  • Lynch

    PS this phone is beautiful! If my lack of upgrade didn’t make the phone $600 (i would pay $400) then I would snatch it up in a heartbeat. I’m dying for one!!!

  • http://www.bestcasino-bonuses.com Daniel Mills

    I wish i had money to buy one of these… god damn why do they have to be so expensive.. i really like the white version!

  • WHITECHUCK

    Big fake lol

  • jb

    sorry but both of these are FKAE!!!!!!

    look at the top of the black version what is that hole above the top earpiece speaker? not on any genuine iphone ive ever seen and wheres the writing of the back side urm…. good fakes but fake. so how can you even think that the white one is real
