Somehow it’s the weekend again already, and to help you celebrate we’ve combed through the week’s best apps to help you sort the wheat from the chaff.

Whether it’s a great retro-style zombie game or a superb productivity app gone free you’re looking for, we’re confident we’ve got what you’re hankering after!

Check out our list below.

Death Road to Canada

Are you a fan of The Walking Dead? Looking for quite possibly the best iOS game you’ll download all year? Then you’ll almost certainly want to get hold of Death Road to Canada, a perfectly-pitched mash-up of randomly-generated zombie survival RPG, actioner, and text-based interactive fiction game.

That may sound strange, but since previously arriving on desktop, via Steam, this three-years-in-the-making indie title has been racking up more and more fans. Now that it’s finally on iOS, it’ll no doubt be finding a whole new fanbase. We just hope you’re among it.

Power Rangers: Legacy Wars

Video game movie adaptations have had a bad reputation since Atari’s infamous E.T. debacle. Despite this, the new Power Rangers: Legacy Wars game is pretty darn good, especially if you’ve been a Power Rangers fan for a long time.

Taking the form of a real-time mobile fighting game, Power Rangers: Legacy Wars features dozens of characters and locations from the series’ extensive history. The best Power Rangers game since the classic SNES beat-em-up? It’s maybe not too far off.

iPhone panoramic photos are great, but sharing them can be a bit of a challenge. A new app called Swipeable is designed to let users easily post panoramas and 360°photos on Instagram as swipeable carousel posts.

As the app’s creators note: “Swipeable is meticulously tailor-made for Instagram users. Just pick up your panorama and the app does the rest. Its neat, simple and intuitive user interface navigates you in photo sharing. Swipeable automatically divides your panorama into square pieces. You will be able to share the photo with the coolest new Instagram feature, Multiple Photos. Apply a single filter on everything and a single caption and location as well as likes and comments will apply to the whole post. Friends can swipe back and forth to explore your journey.”

Popular utility app Workflow isn’t new, but this week news broke it had been acquired by Apple, although the app itself is continuing to live on. Best news for users? It’s now available for free.

Workflow made its App Store debut in December 2014 and picked up an Apple Design Award one year later. The app takes advantage of accessibility features baked into iOS to allow users to automate common tasks using multiple actions.

This means that you can use it to create buttons that will fetch you directions to the nearest coffee shop, upload the last photo you snapped to Dropbox, create animated GIFs, turn a webpage into a PDF, and lots, lots more in a single tap. It’s not the first app to automate tasks on iOS, but it’s maybe the best thanks to its ease of use and compatibility with myriad third-party apps and services.
