An iPhone you can see through? Yes, please!

How many times have you tripped over because you were too engrossed in your iPhone? That wouldn’t happen if this insane iPhone 8 concept with a “transparent” display became a reality.

Created by ConceptsiPhone, it might not be the prettiest iPhone 8 mockup we’ve seen so far, but it’s certainly darn impressive. Not only can you see through it (kind of), but it boasts features like a piezoelectric speaker and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

Of course, it’s display isn’t actually transparent because that would be impossible. Instead, optical sensors on the back of the device allow for a transparent look by displaying what’s behind the phone on the screen.

Sadly, this concept still uses antenna bands which most iPhone fans really don’t like, but it has done away with the physical Home button.

The real iPhone 8, which will make its debut this fall, is expected to feature curved glass panels held together by a stainless steel frame. Recent rumors have promised wireless charging, an OLED display, greater water-resistance, and new augmented reality technology.
