Rocket League is undoubtedly one of the finest and most enjoyable games to grace the current generation of consoles, but it’s yet to make its way to mobile. Soon we won’t need it, because Turbo League for iOS promises to be just as good.

There’s no two ways about it: Turbo League is a Rocket League clone. It looks the same, it plays the same, and it even boasts three-versus-three online multiplayer between Android and iOS devices. Players will also be able to chat, invite friends, and personalize their rocket-powered cars.

Turbo League will also be free to play. That means we will run into in-app purchases somewhere, but it’s not yet clear how much of the game we’ll get without them. Hopefully, you will only need to hand over cash for material things like stickers.

It’s also unclear how well Turbo League will play with touch controls. However, creator Zero Four Games already gave us a taster: An update to the company’s Dubai Drift 2 added a Rocket League-style game mode in which you play soccer with cars.

Turbo League is “coming soon,” but it doesn’t have a release date yet. You can keep an eye on game updates by following this thread on the TouchArcade forum.
