Developers received a brand new beta build of tvOS 10.1 today, bringing a host of bug fixes and performance improvements to Apple TV.

[contextly_auto_sidebar] tvOS 10.1 beta five comes less than a week after Apple dropped the last beta build. New beta updates for iOS 10.2, macOS 10.12.2 and watchOS 3.1.1 came out yesterday as Apple preps its final batch of software updates for 2016.

Registered developers can download the new beta directly from Apple’s dev portal online. You can also install it wirelessly to your Apple TV by using our installation guide.

tvOS 10.1 features

The release notes for tvOS 10.1 beta 5 don’t mention any major new additions, though some suprises may be hiding. Previous beta builds added the new TV app for Apple TV that organizes all of the video content you’ve purchased or subscribed to. The new TV app will also be available on iPhones and iPads as part of iOS 10.2.

tvOS 10.1 also brings the eagerly anticipated Single Sign-On feature to Apple TV. Apple unveiled Single Sign-On during WWDC this summer. With Single Sign-On, users will only have to enter their credentials once to log in to all of their paid content.
