Apple seeded a new beta build of tvOS 10.1 to developers today, bringing a number of bug fixes and performance improvements to the Apple TV.

[contextly_auto_sidebar] The new tvOS beta update comes two weeks after Apple released tvOS 10.1 beta 3. Apple also dropped a flurry of betas for macOS Sierra, iOS 10.2 and watchOS earlier this week.

Developers can grab the new beta directly from Apple dev portal online. You can also install it wirelessly to your Apple TV by using our installation guide.

TV app and Single Sign-On

The release notes for tvOS 10.1 beta 4 don’t mention any major new features. Previous beta builds added the new TV app for Apple TV that organizes all of the video content you’ve purchased or subscribed to.

tvOS 10.1 also adds the eagerly anticipated Single Sign-On feature that Apple revealed this past summer at WWDC. With Single Sign-On, users will only have to enter their credentials once to log in to all of their paid content.

We’ll let you know if we find any new features once we get the beta installed at home.
